Setting - The setting seems to be somewhere quite isolated. This suggests they could be doing something which would affect others.

Hair/Makeup - The character on the left has spiked hair, which could indicate they have had an electric shock.

Costume - They are wearing high-visibility suits, suggesting they might be doing something dangerous.

Props - One of the characters is stuck in the plastic ball, which is a possible prerogative for what they are doing.

Lighting - As it is a sunny day, the scene is very well lit. This indicates they need as much light as possible.

Character expression/movement - The character on the right is holding his hands up, suggesting that they are surprised.

Analysis of the micro-elements of film form from a teen film

Analyse the micro elements (Mise-en-scene, Cinematography, Sound and Editing) of film form in a scene from a film in the teen film genre and discuss how these elements create meaning and conform to genre conventions. The film I chose to use was Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986).  Mise-en-scene This clip is set within a classroom, which is a typical location in teen films. I would guess this scene is to help set the scene for the film. The hair and makeup, as well as the costume is very standard for the era the film is set in, and made in, which is the 1980s. There are very large hairdos such as the one 'Adler' has. You also get the common stereotype from American high-school films of certain people like the 'jock' wearing a varsity jacket.
